What is a spinning window?
A spinning window replaces, or mounts over, a machine's standard viewing glass with a rotating disc. The rotation alone — no air, no wipers — throws off coolant, oil mist and chips by centrifugal force, keeping the surface clear while the machine runs. It's a passive, always-on solution: once it's spinning, the window stays clear for the life of the cut.
How it keeps the view clear
A sealed motor spins an optical-grade disc at speed. Centrifugal force throws liquid and debris outward before it can settle on the surface, so the operator — or a mounted camera — keeps a continuous, unobstructed view of the work zone through heavy coolant flow and chip evacuation.
Can you retrofit one onto your machine?
Most enclosed CNC machines can take a retrofit spinning window — bonded directly to the existing glass or mounted through a screw-on frame, depending on the machine.
